If you love roaming the aisles of Trader Joe’s and dreaming up meals to make, then this post is for you. The best part is these are easy Trader Joe’s Meals! If you follow me on Instagram I recently asked for input on your favorite Trader Joe’s meals and you came through in a BIG way! Admittedly I haven’t tried all of these (yet), but I will. So without further adieu here’s the list! Be sure to pin it too so you can come back to it when you’re at Trader Joe’s next time!
Four Ingredient Pasta
So this IS one that I just made recently, and will for sure be making again and again! I found it via Pinterest and linking it here because I modified it slightly as I couldn’t find the same linguine noodles that this post described. The ones I did find though (spinach & chive) were AMAZING. And I had never had the Mushroom Medley Alfredo Sauce and holy cow – so good!
WHAT TO BUY:
- Spinach & Chive Linguine Pasta
- Pancetta
- Red Onion
- Mushroom Medley Alfredo (it’s located near the cheeses)
Orange Chicken with Broccoli & Rice
I lost count of how many people suggested this one. I’ve had it a few times and it is very good, so sharing here for all to see as well! We personally love the General Tso’s chicken from Aldi’s (which happens to be in the Trader Joe’s family). You can read more about the TJ Orange Chicken over on their site. Make it a meal by serving with the frozen brown rice packs and broccoli!
WHAT TO BUY:
- Bag of Orange Chicken (freezer section)
- Broccoli
- Brown Rice (freezer section)
Chicken Potstickers
This was another popular suggestion because kids also love em! I haven’t tried, but I did buy a package this past weekend and will report back soon! Don’t forget to grab the sauce too!
WHAT TO BUY:
- Potstickers (freezer section)
- Gyoza Sauce
Asparagus Risotto + Chicken and Veggies
Another easy meal to throw together that is relatively nutritious too is the Asparagus Risotto (add chicken & veggies). The Asparagus Risotto can be found in the frozen section. Easy peasy!
WHAT TO BUY:
- Asparagus Risotto (freezer section)
- Broccoli
- Bell Peppers
- Any other veggies you may want to add
- Chicken Breast
Veggie Cauliflower Rice with Sausage
Adding this one to our list for later this week I think. As a family we eat a lot of chicken, so I like the idea of sausage to change things up a bit. And my kids love rice so I think this could be a winner!
WHAT TO BUY:
- Riced Cauliflower (freezer section)
- Your choice of sausage
Bag Potatoes + Veggies and Eggs
A great option for a hearty breakfast! I need this one, I’m so bad about breakfast yet it’s the most important meal of the day. Grab a bag of the Roasted Potatoes with peppers & onions from the frozen section. Then add a scrambled egg (and maybe a little of the Everything But the Bagel seasoning)! This could be a fun dinner option too!
WHAT TO BUY:
- Roasted Potatoes w/Peppers & Onions
- Eggs
- Everything But The Bagel Seasoning
Trader Joe’s Salsa + Chicken in Crockpot
Where are my crockpot fans?! This one is easy and also delish (tried and true)! TJ’s has a few different salsa varieties so you can really tailor this to your tastebuds. Simply throw a few chicken breasts in your crockpot, cover with your choice of salsa and some chicken broth (I think this helps keep the chicken from being too dry). Shred the chicken and then serve on tacos or a salad!
WHAT TO BUY:
- Your choice of salsa
- Chicken Breast
- Chicken Broth
Roasted Tomato Soup + Melted Boursin
It’s soup season so now is the time to give this one a whirl for sure! I’m not a big soup fan myself, but I do enjoy TJ’s tomato. And I think I would LOVE it with some melted boursin!
WHAT TO BUY:
- Roasted Tomato Soup
- Boursin
Cauliflower Gnocchi Sheet Pan w/Veggies + Chicken Sausage
Sheet pan meals for the win! Guys, if you haven’t tried some sheet pan meals you need to. I shared a breakfast sheet pan pancake recipe last year that has been a big hit (Pinterest loves it), and you would too! This one is as easy as it sounds. Buy the frozen bag of Cauliflower Gnocchi and simple lay on a cookie sheet with other veggies and cut up chicken sausage! Add your seasoning and bake for about 25 min at 425!
WHAT TO BUY:
- Cauliflower Gnocchi
- Broccoli
- Chicken Sausage
Kung Pao Chicken with Cauliflower Rice
The Kung Pao Chicken from Trader Joe’s is on the spicier side so fair warning if you have young ones. But if you’re house is safe with the spice, pick up some of the Kung Pao chicken from the frozen section and mix in some of the cauliflower rice too!
WHAT TO BUY:
- Kung Pao Chicken
- Cauliflower Rice
- Egg Rolls as a side??
Red Argentinian Shrimp + Japanese Fried Rice
Shrimp is another fave in our house so this was a welcomed suggestion from a follower! The Japanese Fried Rice is a nice change to our normal rice routine too. It includes pieces of edamame and thin strips of seaweed.
WHAT TO BUY:
- Japanese Fried Rice
- Shrimp
Sweet Potato Gnocchi + Spicy Chicken Apple Sausage
Much like salsas from Trader Joe’s, there are tons of options when it comes to Gnocchi too. Follow the cooking instructions on the package of Gnocchi by cooking in a skillet. Add in some sliced up Chicken Apple Sausage and your choice of veggies! Top with your choice of seasoning too! Another follower mentioned adding in arugula, tomatoes and parm cheese for something a little different too!
WHAT TO BUY:
- Sweet Potato Gnocchi
- Broccoli
- Your Choice of Sausage
- Arugula, Tomatoes, and Parm cheese if you want to go a different route!
