I am coming up on the one year anniversary of breaking free from the corporate grind! I went from the concrete jungle to Saint Louis coffee shops this past year. Working for yourself definitely isn’t easy, and I have had a much more difficult time adjusting than I thought I would. Trying to establish daily routines has been tough at times. One thing I have found to help me is getting out of the house (usually 1x/week) and working from one of the many Saint Louis coffee shops. I have rounded up my five favorites in this post. Enjoy!
The Wolf Cafe
The Wolf Cafe is located in West Saint Louis County. They open at 6 a.m. Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. on Saturday’s and 8 a.m. on Sundays. Their location is really big with tons of seating areas. There is a back room that is open during the day, and on weekends they often have bands that come in and play there. The Wolf’s menu is awesome too. Their focus is on simple cooking using high quality, healthy ingredients. I love their lavender latte when I’m working from there during the morning. If visiting during lunch or dinner be sure to try one of their burgers!

C. Oliver Coffee & Flower Bar
If you’re on the hunt for an Instagrammable coffee shop, then be sure to stop by C. Oliver Coffee & Flower Bar in Maplewood! It opened in late 2019 and the lighting / atmosphere are perfection. The coffee was great too (they serve Sump coffee). Be sure to try the signature Powder Pink Mocha too! The decor is so feminine and fun! I love the green velvet booths that line the wall. There’s a small outside patio too. Perhaps the best part of all though is the pop up flower shop that they have all of the time. You can buy fresh flowers on the spot, and they have this adorable floating flower wall too (which has inspired me to create one in my office)!

The Clover and the Bee
Located in Webster Groves, The Clover and the Bee has one of the best menus. It too, is a great Instagram spot (as you can see below). I like going here for small group meetings, not necessarily to sit with my computer open (though you definitely could). The maple glazed bacon is a must, trust me.

Coma Coffee
Coma Coffee is in Brentwood which is a pretty central location so it’s a great spot. It’s a big location and there is plenty of seating. There’s a bar along the windows that is great for working alone. I love the iced oat stout latte, and they have an assortment of pastries too.

Kaldi’s
There are a few locations around Saint Louis, but the two I frequent the most are Chesterfield and Clayton – Demun. Both have very different vibes though. The Chesterfield location is a lot of businessmen in suits it seems (one of my friends even jokingly calls it “Club Kaldis” because she said she feels like some guys are there to hit on girls) haha! This location also has a large meeting room in the back which can be reserved for larger groups too! There’s tons of outdoor seating as well.
The Clayton – Demun location tends to get pretty crowded too due to the proximity to local Universities. I like working at this one and sitting at the bar along the windows (if you can find a spot). There is outdoor seating if the weather is nice enough. Either way the coffee is great (the Highlander Grogg is a must…you can enjoy it at home too).

Love kaldis in Kirkwood. I used to go there after a run at grants trail. It’s my reward.
A more local option I love is in Lafayette square Park Ave. it’s small but they have a great patio in the back so it’s neat to go during nice weather. They have great treats too. I used to live in the square and ❤️ the area.
I’ve heard such great things about Park Ave! I will put it on my list to check out this spring! Thanks for sharing!
Club Kaldi’s in Chesterfield!! That’s hilarious! Always love Kirkwood Kaldi’s! Didn’t even know about Coma!
Haha – I can’t take credit for that phrase but it’s pretty hilarious (and slightly accurate) LOL!
Upshot Coffee in Cottleville! I live in O’Fallon so I like to spot the shops that aren’t 30+ mins away, but putting these all on my list now ????
