This is our first year searching for Saint Louis summer camps for Layla. In years past, she was always in daycare, but this year she will be attending a few summer camps around the area. I quickly realized that searching for Saint Louis summer camps is a bit daunting which is a good and bad thing. A good thing because there are lots of options, a bad thing because the search is time consuming. Much like my 5 Best Coffee Shops to Work From in Saint Louis post, I will be updating this post frequently as summer sign ups are starting to begin.
Want access to my Google doc that summarizes tons of the local camps by category, age groups, price etc throughout the STL area?

Saint Louis Summer Art Camps for Kids
Layla loves doing arts and crafts, so getting her enrolled in a few creative camps this summer is at the top of my list. Here are a few I am considering…
Art Unleashed is located in Chesterfield, MO and has several different sessions for ages 4 – 18. All classes are broken out into age groups and listed on their site. Registration for all classes is now open! The first sessions begin 6/1 and prices range from $170 – $200 for full week 1/2 day classes.
Located in the Sunset Hills area, Laumeier offers a ton of camps all summer long for various age groups and grade levels. They have half and full day options.

We were sad to learn that artist Beverly Pepper passed away yesterday at the age of 97. Laumeier is proud to have two of Pepper’s works on view: "Alpha", 1974 and "Cromlech Glen", 1985-90. These very different works represent distinct phases within her decades-long art production: one is colorful, geometric metal, while the other is a soft, organic Earthwork. The third photo shows Pepper when she came to Laumeier in 1979 for the opening of the exhibition, "Beginnings". Read more about the life and work of Beverly Pepper in the @nytimes obit published yesterday. Read more on Beverly Pepper's work at Laumeier on our media blog at www.laumeier.org Photo 1: "Alpha", 1974. Photo by Kevin Miyazaki. Photo 2: "Cromlech Glen", 1985-90. With several locations in and around Saint Louis, Vetta is a great summer camp option. Their camps are not sports specific, but do incorporate several sports activities. There are full day camps as well throughout the entire summer.
This camp came recommended by a friend. Joe Clarke Soccer Camps have been around since 1983. This camp falls the first two weeks of summer (which is nice because that first week I haven’t seen a whole lot available). Camps are half and full days and take place at Chaminade High School.
If you also have a soccer lover in your fam, another great option for is the St. Louis Soccer Association. They have tons of camps in and throughout the STL area!
****Be sure to check your local school districts and parks and recreation websites for details on other sport specific camps! Many offer tons of options at various price points and times!****
