Right before I left my corporate gig in the shoe biz, I stocked up on a couple of new pairs with my discount. I had been eying some Vans for awhile because I’ve never owned a pair. I’ve always loved the look of them on other people, so I finally decided to give them a try.

Whether you are running kids around on the weekend or strolling through the aisles of your grocery store, the Vans Low Top is the perfect shoe for both activities. On weekends I’m often in leggings and a casual top so these little sneakers are perfect. They provide a slightly trendier look and feel to my typical leggings ensemble which I love.

I grabbed this skirt recently from a local boutique and initially I thought it might be something I’d only wear on a date night or something. I saw it hanging in my closet and immediately thought of styling it with my Vans and I love the combo. It’s another casual outfit with a trendy edge that I can wear on the go. Win win because I’m getting more use out of the skirt than I thought I would too!

I’m pretty sure there is no better combo on the planet than a good fitting pair of jeans + a classic white tee. If I could live in this outfit everyday, I would. Vans were made for jeans, clearly. I love the simplicity of the black and white combo, but there are SO many other colors too that would look great with so many outfits as well!
