What a week this has been! From the Blues, to work, to family stuff, it has been a busy one. And it’s not slowing down anytime soon! Today’s Five Friday Favorites is a mix of things swirling in my head and I need to get it out. But first…here’s today’s post from the gram.

Winning the Stanley Cup
Hockey. It’s not a sport that I’ve ever paid much attention to nor really cared about. I can remember the days of Hull and Oates, and I vaguely remember the Arena being torn down. I’ve always been more of a baseball fan and diehard Cardinals girl. I only went to one hockey game this year and up until 3 months ago, I’m not sure I could’ve told you what our goalies name was. If my husband is reading this, I’m sorry babe! But when the Blues kept winning games in the playoffs and Gloria became the theme song, and our kids started getting into it all too, I knew this was something special. This season has made me a hockey fan. Watching the game with other fans last night and the constant action and back and forth, I’m honestly not sure why I wasn’t more of a fan before.
Weekend Plans
Our plans consist of celebrating the Blues even more by attending the parade! Here’s hoping the rain holds off. But first, we are hitting up Six Flags today with the kids. I took Layla last year and she loved it, this year Henry is going too. Six Flags Saint Louis has a pretty fun little kids area so I’m sure we will spend a lot of our time there.
Fanny Packs
Speaking of Six Flags, it was brought to my attention that you can’t bring backpacks on any of the rides. So…..fanny pack it is haha! Good thing these things are kind of back in style now. The gals over at @whoawaitwalmart shared this simple black fanny pack on the gram recently and it’s exactly what I needed for the day. If you’re looking for a more stylish one to wear elsewhere, here are a few that have captured my attention recently.
Leopard Sandals
These sandals were a bit of a splurge (even when you have a friend scoop them up with their discount for ya), and they keep going out of stock on most sites. BUT, I found them in stock in a few sizes here. I love these because they are the perfect pop with simple outfit. I’ve linked a few other leopard sandals as well if you can’t find your size in these!

EVER Skin Summer Highlighter
Lastly, I’m excited to try this limited edition highlighter from EVER Skin! I’m a pretty simple gal when it comes to make up, especially in the summer. I just want that perfect pop of color and summer glow. This pretty little palette has awesome ingredients too…magnolia oil extract which is known for its antioxidant properties and conditioning benefits! I’ll let you know what I think when I get it!
