STEVE’S TOP 3 PICKS

If you’re in hurry, and don’t have time to read about all of these holiday gift ideas for guys, here are Steve’s Top 3 Must Haves!

Yeti 36 oz. Insulated Rambler

Cast Iron Skillet

UGG Ascot Slippers

FOR THE TRAVELER

My husband is not a huge traveler for work, but when he travels with people who do travel a lot, they carry Tumi. If this is in your budget, lucky you, because this stuff is built to last.
We do love weekend trips though, and this has been Steve’s weekender bag for about three years now. He researches this kind of stuff like crazy and with this purchase it definitely paid off.
This was a new addition to my gift guide last year. We took this backpack bag everywhere in Europe. Big enough for one day outings, not too big to be a burden. Comes with a dedicated sleeve to protect a laptop or iPad.
Already mentioned above, the Yeti Insulated Rambler is great for taking with you.  It holds 36oz and comes in several colors.

FOR THE STYLISH GUY

A nice pair of tech gloves that will go with everything are a great gift.  This is a quality pair that will last for a long time.  I love the look of this hat.  It’s kind of a cross between baseball cap and winter hat.  Steve loves his UGG Ascot Slippers too.  For a long time he had a cheaper pair, but he converted last Christmas and is a big fan.

FOR THE COOK

If you hit the lottery, or your husband is into barbecuing and ready to upgrade from his rusted out grill, consider Primo. It’s basically a Big Green Egg with an only-slightly-smaller price, but it’s Made in America.  If you didn’t hit the lottery, but maybe he still wants to try his hand at smoking, try an electric cooker. Way less “art” to it, and can be way cheaper. The one below is the one Steve had before getting his Primo.

A repeat from last year (see old gift guide), Steve still turns to his immersion cooker for making the ideal steak. You give it a water bath until it’s the perfect temperature, then pull it out of the bag and seer it in the cast iron skillet. Basically foolproof.
And the cast iron skillet is from last year too.. Great for the steaks, and we love blackened chicken legs too. Brown them in the pan on the stovetop and leave them in the same skillet when you put it in the oven.
Do you use a plastic cutting board? We used to. Apparently it’s terrible for your knives. If you have a good knife set, maybe a wooden cutting board would be a good gift. It’s a charcuterie board too!
A few smaller things we use ALL THE TIME…

FOR THE BEER NERD

Did you know different beers are supposed to be drank from different types of glasses? If your husband is an IPA guy, he should have some of these.  Stouts? These.  Keep it all cold? This. A repeat from last year, Steve carries this cooler everywhere. It will fit 24-30 12 oz. cans with ice, looks better than a Yeti, and will probably be on sale around the holidays. Yeti won’t do that.

Ice? Who needs it? Use these. When we fell hard for the White Claw video, we needed new koozies to fit the tall skinny cans.

What’s on your guys list this year?
