How to use LiketoKnow.it

Hi friends!  I wanted to take a moment and talk to you about LikeToKnow.it and the LiketoKnow.it app that you have no doubt heard me talk about recently via Instagram. I have had several people mention that they think LTK.it is confusing so they don’t use it.  I thought it was time to give you a quick tutorial on what the program is, as well as how to use the app.

Why should I sign up for LikeToKnow.it?

Let’s face it, we all spend a lot of time on our phones and in particular, Instagram.  You likely see or follow style bloggers like myself and often want to know where that item is from so you can possibly purchase for yourself.

Signing up is super easy, follow this link https://www.liketoknow.it/ and click on the Sign up button in the top right when you arrive (see screen shot below).  The sign up process takes just a few minutes and all you need to provide is your email and your name.

Signing up for LiketoKnow.it

Once you’ve signed up, why not give it a test drive?  Visit my Instagram profile www.instagram.com/emmyloustyles and click the like button on a few of my pictures.  Within a few minutes you can check your email inbox and you will have an email from LiketoKnow.it that contains the image of mine that you liked with each item in the picture linked for you to easily shop right from that email.

How do I download and use the LiketoKnow.it app?

If you want to take things a step further, download the LiketoKnow.it app from the Apple Store or Google Play Store.  The screen shot below shows you what the app looks like in the store so you can make sure you’re downloading the correct one:

Downloading LTK.it App

One of the coolest features of the LTK.it app is that it allows you to take a screenshot of my IG picture (or any other bloggers picture that is a part of the LTK.it program) and as long as you have your push notifications turned on for the LTK.it app, you will receive that notification within seconds.  You can then shop directly from that notification! The screen shot below shows you what a push notification looks like:

If you click on that notification, the picture you liked will pull up and all of the items from the picture will be listed below for you to easily click on and shop.  The screen shot below is an example:

Any pictures that I post to IG that are a part of LTK.it will feature a little black or white heart icon in the bottom right of the photo as depicted below:

All of my posts on IG will always remind you of the various ways you can shop my feed.  If LTK.it is not something you plan to use, you can easily shop my IG feed by clicking the link from my IG profile as shown below.  This will take you to the shopping page on my site where these items will be and you can easily shop from that page.

I hope this post has covered all of your questions that you have had about LiketoKnow.it. If you still have questions, please ask them in the comments.  I’m happy to help!

November Style Recap

Happy 3rd of December!  No idea how we are already in December, yet here we are!  This is a crazy, busy month for us (as I’m sure it is for all of you too).  I wanted to pop in quickly and share a style recap of my top 5 IG looks for the month of November in case you need some quick style inspiration.  This is based on the top posts with the most likes in November.  🙂  So without further adieu, here you go!

This is the softest, coziest sweatshirt.  You can wear it with leggings or jeans, and it’s from our favorite retailer.

My favorite jeans at the moment are from Madewell (as I’m sure you know by now b/c I share on repeat).  They are a versatile color and I love the 5 button fly.

Forever 21 Trumpet Sleeve Sweater // 10″ Rise Chewed Hem Madewell Jeans

This Zella jacket is another weekend fave of mine.  It’s cozy and casual (and warm too).

Hello cute tall black boots.  I’m convinced I can’t do the OTK trend so if you feel the same way, give these a try.  They are tall without being TOO tall.

Dr. Scholl’s Shoes are amazing.  If you haven’t experienced this brand, you need to. They are comfy and on trend!

Clad and Cloth Puns N’ Roses Skirt

A dear friend of mine recently told me about Clad and Cloth and it’s amazing so I think you should know about it too!  It’s an online only retailer where everything in their shop is handpicked just for you.  They have fewer pieces versus tons and tons of pages of product.  And since there are fewer pieces, you know they are going to be top notch items that you can’t live without.  Here is a little snippet from the About section on their site:  “CLAD & CLOTH is meant to inspire women to be clothed in confidence and independence.  A “clad & cloth” girl is tastefully dressed, modest, bold, and unique. She is your best self.”

They offer free shipping and free returns so you can shop without worry.  If an item is sold out, you can easily enter your email to be notified when it’s back in stock.  Here is one of my purchases from Clad and Cloth…this dusty rose velvet midi skirt is gorgeous with a fitted top tucked in.  I think I may wear this for Christmas Eve with some dressier pumps.  But as you can see, you can throw on a pair of patterned booties with it too!  It’s so versatile!

Go to their site and see for yourself!

A quick shot with a pair of pumps.  I would love to find some glitzy / sparkly ones to go with this for the holidays though!

Layering with lace

Choo choo!  I’m jumping on the bralette bandwagon!  I’ll be honest, I wasn’t so sure how I felt about bralettes, but then loose fitting, slightly off the shoulder sweaters have started to become a thing and what else are you supposed to wear under those?  Enter the Signature Lace Deep V Bralette!  Another blogger (@madstylestudio) posted these bralettes on her IG feed recently and it was hook, line, sinker when she said what the price was.  UMMMM $10 ladies, and perhaps the best part of all?  They have padding which means you feel like you have a little more support than your average bralette!  I have only ordered the black one (so far), but it comes in a ton of other colors too.  I ordered a small, but I could stand to size up as the band doesn’t have a ton of give to it. I have provided the link to these on Amazon (hello Prime free shipping) so go ahead and throw one in on your next diaper purchase ladies! 🙂

Dressing Room Diaries (at Gap)

I think it’s becoming pretty clear that I often like to spend my lunch breaks shopping and browsing the latest and greatest that some of my fave retailers have to offer.  Before kids, I used to love nothing more than spending all day Saturday or Sunday shopping & browsing.  Fast forward 4 years and I don’t exactly have time to do that (except over lunch).  Anyways, on a recent outing I hit the Gap and had a little try on sesh.  I picked things to try on that were neutral and could easily be mixed into your current wardrobe and last for a couple of seasons.  I looked specifically for office appropriate looks.

Happy Monday!

Starting with this soft spun flutter sleeve cotton top.  They didn’t have my size so this is too big (FIT TIP – size down.  I’m wearing a S here).  This would be great for layering under a jacket with jeans.  You could also dress this up with the ponte zip dressier leggings I have on.  Throw on a nice pair of heels and you’re set.

STYLE TIP – This shirt is kind of sheer, throw on a cami underneath

Softspun flutter sleeve top

Zip ponte legging

Why didn’t I buy this denim RUFFLE sleeve jacket?  I’m trying to be good, but this is sooo cute.  Keep it more casual by throwing it on over the cotton tee shown above.

FIT TIP:  TTS (I’m wearing an XS)

Denim Ruffle Jacket

Or wear it over this ruffle blouse for a slightly dressier look.

Swiss dot cascade ruffle top

This swiss dot cascade ruffle top is great.

FIT TIP:  TTS (I’m wearing an XS)

This black swing dress is the perfect LBD to add to your closet.  I threw the denim ruffle jacket over it, but you could easily pair it with a cardigan too.  This dress would be perfect with booties, tall boots or a pair of heels for a more dressed up look.

FIT TIP:  TTS (I’m wearing an XS)

Black Long Sleeve Swing Dress

Lastly, I’m sharing this black and white plaid longer tunic button up.  I have it paired with the side zip ponte pants.  You could throw on a pair of boots or heels with this.

FIT TIP:  TTS (I’m wearing an XS)

Plaid pintuck long sleeve shirt
