Target Tops Dressing Room Diary

Happy Thursday gals!  I was home all day today with two sick kiddos and I’m finally getting around to sharing these pics from my Insta Stories Target Dressing Room diary session.  I did a quick try on of some tops (all under $30).  There was one top that I couldn’t find on their site, so I’ve linked a similar option for you.

This pink henley was my fave.  It’s soft and it reminds me of a Free People top (but half the price).  I’m wearing a Small but I could’ve definitely gone down a size in this one.

Next, I tried on this longer chambray top that is longer in the back and sort of has a cute lace up detail.  This is the top I couldn’t find, but I’m wearing an XS and I’m linking something similar by this brand.  I am consistently an XS in Knox Rose.

This blue embroidered baby doll top is perfect with a pair of jeans, but you could dress it up with a pair of white pants for spring.  You could even pair this with a colored pant too!  I am wearing an XS in this one.

This navy stripe top with navy lace trim comes in two colors and it’s only $20.  You can wear it with jeans or denim shorts too!

Last up is this lavender woven floral top looks better on than it did on the hanger.  It has shoulder cut outs that kind of tie, and the color is really pretty for spring / summer!

Valentine’s Day Pretties

Valentine’s Day (aka the Hallmark Holiday) is exactly three weeks away!  While my husband and I don’t really make a big to do of the holiday, I thought it would still be fun to share with you all of the Valentine’s Day pretties that I’m loving lately.  You know, the best pink, red, and heart Valentine’s goodies I could find.  If money grew on trees, I would certainly buy myself each of these fun little things.  There are a few of these Valentine’s Day pretties making the list which I do own though so I wanted to make sure they were included in this list.  Happy Wednesday to all my loyal ladies!  Thanks for reading.

Three Ways to Style a Sweater

Happy Wednesday friends!  We are almost to the weekend!  I think the majority of us are suffering from the winter blues and freezing cold temps, so I thought I would try to cheer you up by sharing three different ways to style a sweater.  I know I’m eager for spring temps to arrive, and I’m sure you are too!  Until then, here are three ways to style sweaters this winter!

Try a half tuck

Tucking a sweater might not be something that has occurred to you before, but it’s a great way to pull your outfit together.  You don’t tuck the entire sweater in, just the front portion as I’ve demonstrated below.  This style works with virtually any style, so you likely have something in your closet already in which you can try.

Tie the sweater in a knot

Sweaters over dresses can sometimes appear too bulky, but if you simply tie it in a little knot you can easily give your outfit more shape.  This style works well with jeans too!

Over a dress

You know that spring-y denim dress you have hanging in your closet that you’re longing to wear again?  Well you can!  Throw a sweater on over it and add some tights and boots for a super cute look!

How to use

Hi friends!  I wanted to take a moment and talk to you about and the app that you have no doubt heard me talk about recently via Instagram. I have had several people mention that they think is confusing so they don’t use it.  I thought it was time to give you a quick tutorial on what the program is, as well as how to use the app.

Why should I sign up for

Let’s face it, we all spend a lot of time on our phones and in particular, Instagram.  You likely see or follow style bloggers like myself and often want to know where that item is from so you can possibly purchase for yourself.

Signing up is super easy, follow this link and click on the Sign up button in the top right when you arrive (see screen shot below).  The sign up process takes just a few minutes and all you need to provide is your email and your name.

Signing up for

Once you’ve signed up, why not give it a test drive?  Visit my Instagram profile and click the like button on a few of my pictures.  Within a few minutes you can check your email inbox and you will have an email from that contains the image of mine that you liked with each item in the picture linked for you to easily shop right from that email.

How do I download and use the app?

If you want to take things a step further, download the app from the Apple Store or Google Play Store.  The screen shot below shows you what the app looks like in the store so you can make sure you’re downloading the correct one:

Downloading App

One of the coolest features of the app is that it allows you to take a screenshot of my IG picture (or any other bloggers picture that is a part of the program) and as long as you have your push notifications turned on for the app, you will receive that notification within seconds.  You can then shop directly from that notification! The screen shot below shows you what a push notification looks like: tutorial

If you click on that notification, the picture you liked will pull up and all of the items from the picture will be listed below for you to easily click on and shop.  The screen shot below is an example: tutorial

Any pictures that I post to IG that are a part of will feature a little black or white heart icon in the bottom right of the photo as depicted below: tutorial

All of my posts on IG will always remind you of the various ways you can shop my feed.  If is not something you plan to use, you can easily shop my IG feed by clicking the link from my IG profile as shown below.  This will take you to the shopping page on my site where these items will be and you can easily shop from that page. how to guide

I hope this post has covered all of your questions that you have had about If you still have questions, please ask them in the comments.  I’m happy to help!

Old Navy Try-on Session

Hey girls!  I recently had an Old Navy try-on session over lunch and I wanted to share some of the great new things they have!  I focused on a couple of active wear pieces and some of the new spring items to get you started right in the new year! You can’t go wrong with their affordable prices.

So many fun prints & patterns!

First up are these adorable high rise floral compression leggings.  I love the stripe detail at the bottom, they also have a drawstring tie too.  I’m wearing an XS for reference.  The lattice back sweatshirt is SO cute!  Scroll down to see a pic of the back of this sweatshirt.  I am wearing the navy, which pairs perfectly with these leggings.

Next I tried on another pair of the high rise leggings in this cute color block pattern that contains really amazing spring colors.  I’m wearing a S here, but I would size down (they didn’t have an XS in store).  There’s a little bit of this aqua color in these leggings so I paired this cute lightweight cotton tee with them.  old navy try on session

As for spring items, I tried on this adorable embroidered denim dress with tassels.  The colors in the embroidery are so spring-y and this dress would look great with a pair of short tan booties as we transition from winter to spring.  There are also a ton of longer cardigans that would look great over this too.  I am wearing an XS. Old navy try on session

Textured knit open front cardigan (not pictured, but looks amazing over this dress)

These little crew neck swing tees come in a ton of colors and are SO soft!  They are perfect with jeans or leggings. I am wearing the olive stripe in an XS (I could’ve probably gone up a size in this though).
